Muriel H. Meister Kittle formerly of Ghent, NY, 94 years of age passed away peacefully Monday, October 12, 2015. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the only child of Colonel Victor M. Meister & Emma A. Luthy Meister. She was a 50 yr. member of the Ghent Ladies Fire Auxiliary. She was also a 25 + year member of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her husband Irwin B. Kittle in August, 1995. Surviving are four children; daughters: Patricia A. Batten ( Robert M.) – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Barbara L. Pechtel ( Jim)- Rio Rancho, NM  & Gloria J. Collins ( Alton)- Chatham, NY, son: John I. Kittle ( Nancy)-Ghent, NY,. Grandsons; Todd M. Batten –Houston, TX, Kurt R. Batten – Olathe, Kansas, Brian Collins – Spencertown, NY, Michael Kittle – Florida, Jody Kittle – Ghent, NY, Victor Eberlein –Sarasota, FL, Matthew Eberlein – Saratoga, NY, David Eberlein –Rio Rancho, NM.  Granddaughter; Brenda Dorato – Canaan, NY. Rebecca Noaman "Kittle"- Philmont, NY, 5 great grandsons & 10 great granddaughters. Family will receive friends Thursday October 15th from 7 to9 pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11am please arrive at 10:45.
