Norma L. Dunn passed away on February 12, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born on November 30, 1925 in Pittsfield, MA., she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Blanche Almstead Coons. Norma grew up in Chatham and graduated high school there. She also attended Berkshire Business School. After school she worked for the Chatham Telephone Company, Watt's Jewelry Store and later Delson's. She was a member of the American Legion Post 42 Ladies Auxiliary in Chatham and spent her time knitting and crocheting. What she loved most was spending time with her family. Norma is survived by her daughters, Carol Dunn and Eileen (John) Young, her grandchildren, Ashley (Bobby) Doyle, Dan (Abby) Young and Leah Young, her great grandchildren, Avery, Peyton, Blake and Lucy, and her cat, (Kitty Cat). She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard and her son, Thomas. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, on Saturday February 15th from 10am to noon. A religious service will follow at noon in the funeral home.
