Peter P. Greene of Ghent, NY passed away December 22nd at his home. Born October 10, 1939 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Peter L. and Martha Nissa Greene.  After high school, Peter went into the Marines and served until 1962. When he returned, he graduated from Fordham University, Southern Connecticut State College and received his Ed.D. from Nova University in Florida. Peter was a school administrator and worked for the Berkshire Correctional Facility in Pittsfield, MA until he retired in 1995. After his retirement, he became a Chaplain for the Community Hospice of Columbia Greene.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Greene, son, Sean Greene, step daughters; Erin Spencer and Tara Decker, step son, Sean Spencer, sister, Mary Greene, brother Philip Greene, 4 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren.  Family will receive friends Friday, December 24th from 8:30 to 9:15 am at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am at Saint James Church, Chatham. Interment will follow at Saint James Cemetery.
