Regina (Joeks) Boehme, 63 of Ghent died Wednesday, July 20th at Columbia Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.   Born December 4, 1947 in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late Hans and Elizabeth (Farrell) Joeks.  She was a graduate of St. John's Academy in Rensselaer, Class of 1964.  After graduation she worked for Rose & Kiernan Insurance in Albany, until starting to raise her family in 1975.  Once her children were of school age, she returned to work for Dr. John Tsou in Hudson, and then Countryside Dental in Chatham, from where she retired in 2009. She married Gerard Boehme on April 6, 1974, who pre-deceased her on November 8, 2007.  Regina is survived by her 2 daughters Kelly (Jeffrey) Cox of Old Chatham and Kristy (Christopher) Frederick of Greenport; grandchildren Emily, Molly and Gavin Frederick; two sisters Barbara (Andrew) Britt of Scotia and Kathleen (Paul) Boehme of Chatham: one brother William Joeks of Albany. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.   Regina's favorite times were being with her family, especially her 3 grandchildren, who were truly the lights of her life. She also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.  Her favorite place to visit was Cape Cod, where she recently had one last trip to with her family. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, on Sunday from 3 to 7pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at the Church of Saint James in Chatham at 1 pm.  Interment will follow at the Saint James Cemetery, Ghent.   Contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, NY 12414 in her memory.
