Ferrone, Regina K. Old Chatham, NY Regina (Jean) Ferrone, age 86, of Old Chatham, New York died peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 11 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Jean was born in Jackson Heights, New York on April 23rd, 1923 to the late Elizabeth and William Flaherty.  She was a homemaker and raised eight children until becoming a librarian at the CW Post College Library in 1971 where she worked for fifteen years.  Jean then took a post at Index Stock Photography, Inc. in New York City until her retirement in 1996 when she and her beloved husband, the late Gerard Ferrone, settled in Old Chatham. Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Ferrone, and a grand-daughter, Jandaya Fishenfeld, and a son-in-law, Chip Severs, and is survived by her sister, Estelle Melcher of New York City, seven children: Jean Severs, Rod Ferrone and Nick (Stephanie) Ferrone, all of New York City, Joanna (Jill) Ferrone of Southampton, NY, Chris (Hilary) Ferrone of Spencertown, NY, Chessy (Bill) Gould of Golf, IL and Willie (Tarra) Ferrone of Dorset, VT and twenty-two grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service was held in her loving memory at St. James Church in Chatham, NY on August 14.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Community Hospice of Columbia-Greene 47 Liberty St. Catskill, NY 12414.
