Richard Hallenbeck, 46, of Valatie, born on October 20, 1979, in Cooperstown, passed away on June 14, 2026, at Albany Medical Center. His presence touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Richard dedicated a significant portion of his life working as a cleaner for the family business, demonstrating unwavering dedication and a strong work ethic. He played a vital role in the business and was known for being someone you could always count on—always there for you when you needed him.
He was a man of many passions, finding joy in the outdoors. He was a dedicated hunter and fisherman, always eager to spend time in nature. His appreciation for old school cars was well-known; he delighted in attending car shows and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family members.
Richard will be fondly remembered for his kind and loving personality. Those whose lives he touched recall his warmth and generosity of spirit. Whether spending time with family, engaging in hobbies, or lending a helping hand, Richard’s presence made a positive and lasting impact.
Richard was the beloved son of Robert and Nancy Hallenbeck, who survive him. He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Cassie Hallenbeck (Keith Pough) and Mairanda Coons (Edward Feinstein), along with five adored grandchildren, Liliana, Abel, Kassius, Ember-Leigh and Waylon, all of whose lives he deeply enriched and who will always hold his memory close.
His departure leaves a heartfelt void, but his legacy endures through his family and the countless memories shared with him. Richard Hallenbeck’s life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for those around him.
A celebration of life will be held privately at the connivence of the family.
