Rita Sheridan, 90, of Millbrook, New York, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Hospital on Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Rita Sheridan was born on January 19, 1925 in the Bronx, NY. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Rowland J. and Bernadette (Tierney) Sheridan, brother Rowland Sheridan, sisters, Margaret Sheridan, Dolores Potterton, Sr. Bernadette Sheridan, Sr. Josephine Sheridan and her twin sister Agnes Sheridan. Rita is survived by her loving sister Therese Sheridan of Holmdel, NJ and 9 nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the loyal and dedicated caregivers of the Taconic Group Home in Millbrook were Rita lived and thrived for many wonderful years. She was blessed to have lived a beautiful life in the kindness of your compassionate care.  Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 20th, 11 AM, Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, Hawthorne, NY 10532. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery immediately follows.
