It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle.  Robert F. Friedman passed away peacefully at his home on March 14, 2016.  Born February 10, 1943 to Bernard and Lillian Friedman in Brooklyn, New York.  Robert attended and graduated from Brooklyn Tech and Cortland State.  Robert taught mainly at the Berkshire Farm and Mount Vernon, NY School Districts.  He retired after more than twenty-five years of service.  Robert enjoyed his family and beloved grandchildren.  Robert is survived by his wife, Sallie, of 50 years, his three sons, Scott (Michele), Jonathan (Dawn), and Todd (Sarah). Robert is also survived by his seven loving grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.  In addition, Robert leaves behind his sister, Shirley, and brothers-in-law, Robert Barton and George Snyder.  He was predeceased by his loving sister-in-law, Carole Snyder. A memorial service will be held at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home at 10 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ghent Food Pantry and "Our Community Cares".
