Roberta (Golden) Rose, born in Chatham Hospital Dec. 31, 1947. She past away with family nearby at Albany Medical Center April 15,2012. Surviving are her husband (Wayne) of 44 years, her  3 children : Michael (Kelly) , Melissa (Kevin), Jeramey (Alyssa) Rose, her 9 Grandchildren Michael Jr., Mathew, Kacey, Emily, Charlie, Amelia, Eliza, Adrienne, Jacqueline, her mother Helen Golden, sister Bonnie Lowheit and mother-in-law Juanita Rose and many more friends and relatives. She taught at Ichabod Crane High School for 30 years in the Special Education Department, where she was the department chairperson for many years. Roberta spent many summers as Director of Crellin Park (1987-1999), creating a swim team, softball teams and spending countless hours fund raising for the park. She did all this for the love of the Children in the community. In her spare time she loved to golf and be with her Grand-Children. Family will receive friends Thursday April 19 from 3-7 pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham. Religious services will be celebrated on Friday, at 10 am, in Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, Chatham.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Roberta's memory to the Wildwood Foundation Inc. 2995 C Curry Road Extension Schenectady, NY  12303.
