Rose Koller Cappozzo passed away on June 14, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. She was born September 2, 1922 in New York City the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Susbeck Koller formerly of East Chatham. She was a graduate of Chatham High School, class of 1940 and the Mildred Elly Business School, Albany, NY. She married Frank Cappozzo, the son of Fred and Maddalena Cappozzo who owned and operated the family business (Cappozzo's Store). Rose was employed by NYS Electric and Gas Corp. for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a former member of the Chatham Women's Club, A volunteer usher for the MacHayden Theatre and a volunteer baker for various organizations.  She was a communicant of St. James Church where she also participated in the religious education program for many years. She is survived by her husband Frank F. Cappozzo, sons, Frank D. and Fred J. Cappozzo, sister, Madeline Voelbel, her grandchildren, Stacey, Jocelyn, Glen and Lindsay Cappozzo , Matthew, Samuel and Sydney Fredericks, her son-in-law, Peter Fredericks, along with many nieces and nephews. Rose was pre deceased by her daughter Sharon Fredericks. Family will receive friends on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, from 4 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at St. James Church, Chatham with interment following at St. James Cemetery, Ghent NY.
