Rose Marie O'Dell LaMora of Binghamton and formerly of Chatham died Friday March 30, 2012 at Willow Point Nursing Home. Born in Hudson,NY on Sept 20, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Flood O'Dell Sr. and late Edith Mansfield Carver.
She Married Henry O'Dell in 1969 and he predeceased her in Jan 1978. She married her second husband Michael LaMora in Oct 9, 1983. She lived and work on the farm with the Hunt Club of Old Chatham on Shaker Museum Rd as a groomer and caregiver of the dogs and horses with her first husband Henry. She also tended and did maintenance for the Old Chatham Union Cemetery. She worked for Amusements of America as a kiddie ride operator with her second husband Michael. She enjoyed traveling to different states with the fair and received numerous recognitions for her work. She was a Nascar fan, loved dogs, and was well liked by anyone she have met in her life.
She is survived by her daughter Donna O'Dell Nicklaw of Tupper Lake, NY, twin sons Steven and Scott O'Dell of Binghamton, NY. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, a brother David O'Dell, sisters Susan Osterhout, Janet Parker, Diane Thomas, Nancy O'Dell, and June O'Dell. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas O'Dell Jr.
Calling hours will be Tuesday April 3rd from 6-8 pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham. Family will gather Wednesday at 10am at the funeral and depart for Old Chatham Union Cemetery at 10:30.
