Rose M. McAuliffe died October 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack McAuliffe and her sisters Joan and Regina, she leaves to celebrate her life her five sons and their spouses, John and Judy, David and Donna, Peter and Laura, Stephen and Patrice, Kevin and Katharine, sixteen grandchildren Caitlin, Heather, Megan, Kristen, David, Kyle, Drew, Jessica, Elizabeth, Colin, Meghan, John, Sean, Darren, Liam and Aidan, eight great grandchildren Mabel, Collins, Cate, Arlo, Odin, Sophie, Stella and Violet, her siblings Rev. James Daley and Ronnie Zimmerman and many nieces and nephews. Rose was born in Albany NY and graduated from The College of St. Rose, Magna Cum Laude, and earned a masters degree from Boston College. She devoted her life to creating a loving home for her husband and family. Rose relished time with friends and cared for others as a social worker with Catholic Charities in Phoenix AZ, All Souls Hospital, and the Parsippany-Troy Hills school system in NJ. Since she and Jack moved to Chatham 32 years ago, they devoted their time to St. James Parish and the Chatham community. Faith and church were an integral part of her entire life. Family will receive friends at Saint James Church, Chatham, Sunday, October 6th from 1 to 2:30pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:30 in the church. Interment will be Monday at Saint James Cemetery at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorials in Rose's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
