Rose May Russell

Rose May Russell of Chatham passed away September 1, 2022. The daughter of the late Nicholas and Mildred Phillips Stabe, she was born November 20, 1931 in Hudson, New York.

Rose was a life long resident of Columbia County, graduating from Chatham High school and Columbia Memorial Hospital Nursing School. After graduation she worked for Dr. Johnson and after his retirement she worked for Dr. Mayven.

She enjoyed yard sales, auctions, reading, puzzles, square dancing, bowling and loved music especially Elvis. Rose was a member of the Chatham Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Linda Laurange, Edward "Rusty" Russell, Wendi Paul, Terry Russell and Stacey Russell, her 12 grandchildren, 11 Great grandchildren and her sister Vi Mckenna.

Rose was predeceased by her sister Lillian Christiana
