Rose (Krasnoborski) Thomas, 95, was reunited with her beloved husband Anthony on August 21, 2009, following a brief illness.
Daughter of the late Marian and Anna (Bania) Krasnoborski, Rose lived most of her life in Columbia County, where she and Anthony raised their two children; Robert Thomas of Claverack, NY and Patricia Golas of Cohoes, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Laura Merante, Joseph Golas, Lisa Warmbrodt, Michail Thomas and Sharon Smith, her nine great grandchildren, her one great-great grandson and her sisters; Sophie Thorpe and Amelia Nabozny.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Rose was predeceased by her grandson Frank Thomas, her sisters; Jennie Maiewski, Mary Hester and Helen Kitchie, her brother; Clarence Krasnoborski, her daughter-in-law; Irene Thomas and son-in-law; Joseph Golas.
During their 68 years of marriage, Rose and Anthony enjoyed the warm weather tending to their flower and vegetable gardens, and spending time with their large family. Many winters were spent at their home in St. Petersburg, FL with their "snow-bird" friends. Rose was staying with her daughter at the time of her death.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Holy Family Church in Stottville, NY, Saturday at 9am. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson, NY.
