Roy "Red" C. Every passed away August 27, 2013 in Spring Hill, Florida. He was born June 18, 1922 to the late Charles and Anne Jenkins Every in Chatham, New York.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen Tomasitz in 1985, his brothers, Ken, Charles Jr. and Robert and his sister, Mildred.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his son, Jack and daughter in law, Pam, his three granddaughters and four great- grandchildren.
Red Served as a Sergeant in the US marines during WWII, he returned home and worked for the railroad for 38 years. In his spare time he enjoyed golf and loved hunting and the outdoors. He had moved to Carmel New York in 1961 and then to Florida about twenty years ago.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church, Chatham, at 11:30am. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent, New York.
