Rudolph Krutzler of Chatham, NY passed away June 12, 2018 at home. Born September 11, 1922 in New York City he was the son of the late Rudolf and Ottilia Krutzler.
He served in the Army during WWII and returned to work at Knickerbocker Brewery in Manhattan. Rudy lived in Franklin Square and worked for the US Postal Service for 35 years until he retired. He was a chairman for the Pack 94 Cub Scouts in Elmont, NY and a little league baseball coach. After retirement he moved to Chatham, NY and enjoyed bowling, square dancing and traveling abroad with his beloved wife Evelyn.
He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Surviving are his sons Kenneth (Randi) and Randy (Laura), and his grandchildren, Emma, Chris, Kiley, Timothy and Bryan and friend and care giver Rodney Jones.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20th at 10am at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated that day at noon in Saint James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Ghent.
