Ruth Adele Miller of Chatham, NY passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Chatham on May 14, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Charlotte Brennan Hover. She married her husband George Miller on October 22, 1941, he predeceased her in 1979. Ruth had worked for the NY State Retirement System from 1968 to her retirement in 1985. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Carole Nachod of Fredericksburg, VA and Jill (Richard) Okin of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandchildren, Holly (John) Nachod Santalucia of Detroit, MI, Peter (Kristine) Nachod of Clarksburg, MD and Brian (Allison) Okin of Lilburn, GA, great grandchildren, Julia Santalucia, Daniel Santalucia, Zachary Nachod, Benjamin Nachod, Nicholas Nachod, Ryleigh Okin and Ava Okin. She was predeceased by her half sister Clara Hover Barton, half brother Barton Hover and half sister Luella White. Family will receive friends on Monday February 15th at 9am at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in Saint James Roman Catholic Church.
