Sadie "Peg" Ackley of East Chatham passed at St. Peter's Hospital on August 9, 2017. Born in Newton, New Jersey on September 12, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Austin and Gertrude Eamigh. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Russell Ackley Sr. in 1993. Peg is survived by daughters: Peggy (Emerson III) Morse and Rita (Michael) Ross, son, Russell Ackley Jr., grandchildren: Emerson Morse IV, Kimberley Engel, Michael Ross Jr., Vincent Ross and Teresa Ross and 8 great grandchildren. She moved to Columbia county from New Jersey in 1987. She enjoyed bingo, game shows and puzzle books. Her real love and where she enjoyed her time the most was with her family. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home Chatham, NY on Monday August 14 from 4 to 7pm and Tuesday from 11am to 11:30am after which stories will be shared and a prayer offered before the interment in Ghent Union Cemetery.
