Sheila Jane Shaw

Sheila J. O'Connell Shaw passed away on Monday December 20, 2021. Born March 15, 1937 in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Maurice (Bus) and Anne Callahan O'Connell. She was a graduate of Chatham High School. Sheila work for many years at Delson's in Chatham and later retired from NYSDOH. She was actively involved for years with the Chatham Little League and was a member of ECFD Ladies Auxiliary. Sheila married Keith Shaw in July of 1956, he survives at home. She is also survive by her children, Brian (Tammy), Bridget (George Rochester), and Christopher (Donna Duso), grandchildren, Dylan (Emily), Daniel Harrigan (Christina), Nicholas, and Joshua, great grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Hannah and Caden, sister, Kathy Hamm and many nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her daughter, Marcella, her sister, Maureen and her grandson, Jacob. Family will receive friends on Tuesday December 21st. at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, from 4 to 7pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10:30am at Saint James Church. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
