Sidney D. Goldstein passed away August 14, 2018 at Pine Haven Nursing Home. He was born on August 18, 1933 and grew up in Philadelphia until he joined the Navy during the Korean War and served aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Tripoli. When he returned home to Philadelphia he married Joyce Gertzman (nee). He attended Temple University and from there became a salesman eventually heading up major companies in New York City within the garment district. His favorite activities were riding horses and his involvement with various hunt clubs. He also loved riding motorcycles, sports cars and boating. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Samuel Goldstein, and his sister, Elaine Sobel. Surviving family members include his wife Joyce of 62 years, his two daughters, Nina and Jill, son-in-laws Jason and Michael and 7 grandchildren. Services will be graveside on Friday August 17, 2018 at 11:00am at The Chatham Rural Cemetery (Jewish Section) located off Route 66 on Cemetery Road. To convey a condolence visit frenchblasl.com.
