Steven J. McMurray passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Born on November 11, 1989, he was the son of Chris McMurray of Ghent and the late Kathleen (Stoffels) Brust. Steven obtained his GED and later earned an Occupational Associates Degree in Automotive Technology and Management from WyoTech, Blairsville, PA. At his graduation, Steven received the "Class Leader" award. He was employed by DePaula Chevrolet. A fan of the NY Jets and Rangers, Steven's true passion was anything with tires and an engine. Along with his closest friends, he enjoyed racing cars. In addition to his father, Steven is survived by his stepmother Teshia McMurray, stepfather James Lais, brothers Justin and Jeremy Brust, maternal grandmother Patricia Stoffels, his girlfriend Jen Bradt and her daughter Julie, and his beloved dog Suzie. Steven is also survived by a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends (The Depaula crew were family in the truest sense of the word as were his racing buddies). He will always be "Fluffy" to them. Steven was predeceased by his mother, maternal grandfather, Richard Stoffels, Sr., paternal grandparents Alfreda and Charles McMurray, and daughter Haley.
