Terri J. Harris, 64, of Chatham, NY passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on July 23, 2010 after a long battle with cancer and renal disease.
Born in Deposit, NY, January 12, 1946, Terri was the daughter of the late Donald and Catherine Coe. Terri was a graduate of Chatham High School and remained a lifelong resident of Chatham. With a love for the law, Terri later attended and graduated from Columbia Greene Community College Basic Municipal Police Curriculum. Over the years Terri worked at the Columbia County Sherriff's Department, served as a Chatham police officer, worked in the restaurant business and prior to her illness was an employee at Sonoco Crellin.
She was the dear mother of Yvonne Ewasick and James Harris of Ghent and the loving mother-in-law of Stephen Ewasick and Tamela Harris. She will be especially missed by her adored grandchildren; Heather and Mike Degrenier, Stephen Ewasick, Christine Ewasick and Alex Harris. She is also survived by several special nieces and nephews; Catherine and Michael Tator, William Holt, Donald and Judy Coe, Ryan Tator, Josh Tator and Micaela Coons.
In addition to her parents Terri was pre deceased by her sister Barbara Holt and her brother Ronald Coe.
Calling hours will be at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl funeral home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, on Thursday July 29th from 5 to 7pm, with a memorial service to immediately follow.
