Thelma M Hall, of Chatham, NY passed away Sunday October 14th in Covington, GA. She was born April 29, 1923 in her grandmother's house in Ghent, NY to Arnold and Mary Helen (Sherrill) Wamback. She married John William (Bill) Hall August 28, 1943. Thelma is survived by her daughter Jackie (Hall) Deverell & husband Bruce, daughters-in-law Nellie (Bemiss) Hall and Susan (Hoffman) Hall, grandsons: Scott Hall, Michael Hall & wife Heather (Forrester) Hall, and David Northup, granddaughters: Leah (Hall) Casucci & husband Rick Casucci and Jennifer Northup, great grandsons: Camden Hall, Maso Casucci, Enzo Casucci , Peter and Heath  Northup, great granddaughter, Tessa Northup and the love of the late Sean Hall's life Nicole Bomer, sister-in-law Reta (Stanton) Wamback and Reta's 3 children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John W. ( Bill) Hall, her sons, John and Craig Hall, her grandson Sean Hall and brother Arnold (Bud) Wamback. There were few people in the Chatham community whose lives she didn't touch with her warm and caring spirit. Helping families in the community she was always there with something homemade when food was needed - bread, cookies, pies - she baked with love and gave her heart and time to so many. An avid gardener, she maintained a small garden outside her apartment in Chatham until shortly before she moved to Georgia. Even then, she continued to dispense gardening advice from her seat in the outdoor swing at her daughter's home. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Church in Spencertown, NY November 3, 2012, at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Thelma's name to your local hospice or St. Peter's Church.
