Thomas Edward Meyn passed away October 20, 2011, at his home surrounded by friends and family. He was born February 19, 1948 in Paterson New Jersey the son of the late Thomas William and Katherine J. Payne Meyn.
Tom graduated Houghton College in Houghton, New York with a B.A. in Business Administration. Later, after moving to East Chatham he started his own business, Hopper Cabinet. Tom enjoyed the restoration of classic cars and Triumph motorcycles. He had served two four-year terms on the Chatham Town Board since 1998.
He is survived by his sisters; Cathy Teeling of Butler, NJ and Elaine Smith of Allumuchy, NJ, nieces; Meghan Teeling of Clifton, NJ and Courtney Teeling of Montclair, NJ, and many close friends.
Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, NY, on Sunday, October 23rd from 4 to 7pm. Religious services will be celebrated on Monday, 10am at Saint James Church, Chatham, NY. Please gather at the church at 9:45.
