Obituary

Violet Ruth Clark, lifetime resident of Chatham died Friday March 16 at the Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont, NY. Born March 14, 1936 in Chatham to Harry and Bessie Faulkner McMann. She grew up in Chatham and attended school here.  She married Myron at 16 and she and her husband were involved in many local business ventures.  They had owned pizza den, the Sunoco and had also had the local chuck wagon at cemetery hill and later at Buckleyville. Violet enjoyed bingo and loved her computer. She is survived by a 2 sons Richard of Canaan, NY and Randolph of Chatham, two daughters, Rhonda (Douglas) Wolf of Hudson, NY, and Roxanne (Richard) Woodward of East Chatham, seven grandchildren, eight great grand children, four nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty two years Myron Clark, her sister Rosemary McKay and her brother Harry McMann. Services are private and interment will take place in the spring at Chatham Center Cemetery.  Services have been entrusted to the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham.  To send an online condolence visit www.frenchblasl.com.
