Canaan, New York, Walter Elgin Beck (73) passed away peacefully at home January 21, 2021 under the care of hospice. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Van Wie Beck, children; Lara (David) Clark, Lisa Beck, Jeffrey Beck, and James Slaven Beck, all of Maine, his sister, Lesley (David) Devaney of Midway Georgia and cousin, Charles (Pat) Stecher of E. Windsor, New Jersey. A loving father and grandfather he leaves behind nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter, two stepsons, Christopher (Fiona) Van Wie and Justin (Lynn) Van Wie, and a special friend, Jeremy Gould (Jess) of Middletown, Connecticut. A heartfelt thank you to Community Hospice - Jane Knoll, Dr. Curran and Dawn Tucksmith. Thank you to Gary Flahertry and Elijah Faulkner, and Ernie Lindmark.
