Walter George Whipple passed away December 18, 2010, at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, NY. He was born: November 13, 1940 in Kingston, NY and was the son of the late John and Florence Knight Whipple.   Walter is survived by Survived by 3 sisters; Mrs. Julia Gallo (Anthony) of Kingston NY,  Ms. Alice Studler of Raleigh NC, Mrs. Dorothy Diehl (Henry) of Port St. Lucie FL, one brother, Mr. Donald Whipple (Sally) of Red Hook NY, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and several great great- great nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his sister Linda Ann, step-sister Virginia Glass, brothers-in-law Albin Studler and Louis Clausi.   Walter lived with his parents in Kingston and Leeds until he was 32 years of age. When his mother could no longer care for him he went to live with Family Care Providers Mildred and Louis Capra in Earlton for 32 years. After Millie became ill he went to live with Family Care Providers Linda and Gary Cook in Ghent for more than 5 years until his passing. Our family is very grateful for all the love and good care Walter received from these two families. He was very happy and enjoyed a wonderful life at both homes.   Walter has attended the program at Promenade Hill for a long time and has made many friends there.   Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Promenade Hill, Warren St Hudson NY.   Visitation and service at French Gifford Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham NY , Wednesday December 22nd at 10am.   Walter will be cremated and his ashes interred at a later date.
