Wayne Thomas McGetrick age 66 of Wynantskill passed away on January 25, 2016 after a long illness.  Wayne was born on August 27, 1949 in Hudson, New York.  He was the son of the late Ernest and Luella (Schrader) McGetrick. Wayne attended Chatham High School and continued his education in the culinary field which he remained involved in until his retirement. Wayne is survived by his sisters Helen (Robert) Samler and Jane (Paul) Merwin along with his nieces and nephew, Jennifer (Larry) Merwin-Domkoski, Katrina (Kyle) Wilber and Paul Merwin.  In addition, he leaves behind his great nieces and nephew Meghan Mercier, Madisyn Domkoski, Riley and Owen Wilber.  He is also survived by his aunt, Florence Matthews, and many cousins. Calling hours will be Friday, January 29, 2016 from 3-5pm followed by a memorial service at French, Gifford, Preiter, and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue in Chatham.   Memorial donations in Wayne's name can be made to either the Columbia-Greene Humane Society or Wynantskill Fire Department.
