Obituary

Wilbur W. Clark. Will went home to be with our Lord Thursday, February 13, 2014. Born in Edgefield, SC  on August 23, 1925. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a paratrooper and was in the Pacific Arena in both the Philippines and Japan. He retired from the Nassau County Police Force and moved to the Chatham area where he worked at the Berkshire Farm for Boys, retiring from there in 1998. He leaves behind his wife Helen of 67 years and 3 children, Roger W. Clark of Wappinger Falls, NY, Barbara (Douglas) Hollinsworth of N. Bellmore, NY and Betty (Ed) Hunt of East Chatham, as well as 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Eric and Christine. Calling hours will be Sunday February 16, 2014 at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Ave., Chatham, from 2 to 5pm. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, February 17th. at 11am, please gather at 10:30am, with interment at the Cemetery of The Maples, East Chatham.
