Obituary

William Lent 70 of Chatham died March 23 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. He was born October 24, 1938 in Peekskill and was the son of William and Mary Walsh Lent. William was educated and grew up in Peekskill and would marry Nancy Stoll there in 1962. After their marriage they moved to Mahopac where they would raise their family. He worked as a truck driver for Elmsford Interstate and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamster Local 456 in Elmsford, NY. William enjoyed antique cars and Atlantic City with all its Slots. He moved to Chatham after he retired   He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his son; William jr. of Brooklyn and Scott E. (Karen) of Chatham, his grandson Christopher S. of Somers, his sister Barbara Marallo of Wildwood, ,NJ. and several nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his brothers; Francis and Jack. A memorial Service will be celebrated at a later date.   Memorials may be made to the Community Hospice of Columbia Greene in Williams's memory.   Arrangements have been entrusted to the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham.
