History
French, Gifford, Prieter & Blasl has been serving Chatham area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
My wife and I both work at our business. My wife is a Medical Education Learning and Development Specialist at Albany Medical College. She does devote her time here, as well, with many aspects of the paper work, greeting families and making sure that the facilities are maintained and constantly improved upon. I have been involved in funeral service for my whole life as both a manager and owner. I spend my time tending to day to day things here and attending continuing education classes to stay abreast of changes in embalming techniques, federal and local laws, and OSHA. I try to be available to help local organizations with what ever I can. I am a member of the Kinerhook Elks, the Fifties Group of Columbia County, treasurer of Ocean Fire Company #1 and Treasurer of the Chatham Lions Club, and President of Friends of the Tracy.
